Who We Are

Monterey Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation (MPYSF) was established in 1980 to support young sailors and youth-focused sailing programs on the Monterey Peninsula. It is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit corporation.

With the generous support of our donors, MPYSF provides financial assistance and in-kind support to young sailors and to local organizations – yacht clubs and other community groups – actively engaged in teaching young people to sail.

Our goal is to introduce young people to the sport of sailing and to help them develop the knowledge and skills needed to pursue any aspect of the sport that appeals to them. Along the way, we expect them to acquire valuable life-skills that will serve them into adulthood.
